Case History
A 29 yrs male presented with symptoms of acute shortness of breath. What is the Diagnosis??
large RA thrombus in transit
The Echo clip of SAX view shows a large RA thrombus in transit. The thrombus is highly mobile & protruding from SVC to RA and prolapsing through the tricuspid valve in to the RV in diastole. CT pulmonary angiography revealed pulmonary embolism in addition. Patient was referred for urgent surgery. He underwent successful pulmonary embolectomy with removal of the RA thrombus.
